It has been my pleasure and honor to sit under the teaching of four "Fathers of Revival" over the past couple weeks. I try to never fail to honor the true forefathers of our faith but in this particular instance I am honoring four living, breathing, "anointed," individuals who all have a heart for revival yet distinctly different callings of God on their lives. The great thing about these men of God is that they are all hearing what the Lord is saying in this hour and responding accordingly.
It was to my great pleasure, with tearful praise to our God and Father that I observed two of the individuals recently, who have typically ministered in very traditional fashions, to embrace the "new thing" that God is doing with His younger generation of Revivalists. Both of these men of God in a recent outpouring meeting and church service allowed themselves to give way to the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the lives of young men and women who they saw the "Anointing" on and who they knew God's Spirit was faithfully using.
The first of these men of God is Benny Hinn. At a recent "Outpouring" meeting in Phoenix, AZ, he broke from tradition and comfort to allow a young, powerful, Prophet of God, Manassah, to do much of the ministering during one morning session. The next evening, he allowed a young prophetic worshiper, Marcus, break out in to spontaneous song. Then, his own daughters sung a special song... the song was "You Won't Relent," by Misty Edwards, a song that carries the sound of God's younger revival generation. All of these things seemed a little new to him but he gladly embraced them, knowing God was in control! This is a HUGE key for the Moses generation to realize and the only way both the "Moses" and "Joshua" generations will enter the Promised Land of revival together!
Another man of God to embrace the similar prophetic flow of the Holy Spirit in what is typically a traditional Sunday morning church service is Pastor Zane Anderson (my Pastor, I might add), of Victory Worship Center in Tucson, AZ. He allowed the Holy Spirit to use a young man of God and good friend, Chris Antoino, during the middle of the service. He also released testimonies and a mighty healing anointing that rocked our service! It was one of the greatest healing anointings I have ever felt. He did this by the leading of the Holy Spirit and even abandoned his Sunday AM sermon, something he rarely ever does! By his own admission, he said that Victory had "shifted" spiritually, and that the "ship had turned." As I wept and wept in gratitude with God, I knew exactly what he was talking about. Victory had embraced a Kingdom/Revival atmosphere. Something if any church or Pastor does, will hopefully ruin them to things of the ordinary, something I talk in detail about in my book, "You Are Revival." Praise God for His work through these men of God!
It was my great honor to sit under two other great fathers of revival, Che Ahn, and Mahesh Chavda, this past weekend in surprisingly frigid Sedona, AZ, at a David and Stephanie Herzog Glory Passover tent meeting revival weekend event. These men have written over 20 books on revival between them and have been ministering under God's glory atmosphere for almost sixty years between them!! Praise God for their mighty influence throughout the world and the blessing they are to the Body of Christ. My wife and I got to meet both of them and they signed some books for us. It will be my great privilege and my way of giving back to them and honor their influence on my life to finally see, "You Are Revival," published and distributed nationwide. I gave each man the Draft copy of the book, with fear and trembling. Who am I to call myself a Revivalist and Author amongst these giants of the faith?
I pray that my life will have a similar impact as I grow in the knowledge and fear of the Lord for the rest of my days here on earth.
